ProfileAnupam is a physician executive within UnitedHealthcare. He graduated from Emory’s school of medicine. He completed an internal medicine residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in Saint Louis. After residency, he did a two-year research fellowship in Burlington, Vermont. He’s worked at Wayne State University in Detroit as a general medicine faculty member. He moved on to UC San Diego to serve as their ambulatory medical director of clinical informatics. After obtaining an MBA from San Diego State University, he joined Advocate Health Care in Chicago as their inpatient chief medical information officer. In August 2018, Anupam moved to UnitedHealthcare. He has developed expertise within the academic, non-profit and payer silos within the healthcare marketplace. He believes informatics can help bend the health care cost curve by empowering individuals to make more informed decisions and adopt new behaviors.
