Merrill leads the Marketing efforts at Bravo Fit, an Oregon based franchisee of Planet Fitness. His experience within the fitness industry includes leading marketing efforts for fitness brands including New York Sports Clubs, StairMaster, Schwinn, Nautilus and Star Trac. Previously, Merrill worked in marketing and business development roles for The Walt Disney Company.
Merrill’s work has focused on incorporating digital techniques – analytics, inbound marketing and social media -- to advance marketing and sales performance.
In 2014, Merrill oversaw development of an iOS app, the Schwinn Class Tamer Music Player for Group Exercise Instructors. The app won an Outstanding Achievement Award in the Sports Category from the Interactive Media Council.
In 2008, Merrill produced two Guinness World Record setting a 24-hour group cycling event, Saints and Spinners, at New York’s Grand Central Terminal.
Merrill has an MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA and degrees in Economics and Literature from Claremont McKenna College.
Merrill serves as a member of the Board of Advisors of HealthCorps, a non-profit founded by Dr. Mehmet Oz that gives teens tools to improve physical and mental health so they can learn to live more productive and happier lives.
